[Ivan Timothy Houghton]: typescript-copy of a dissertation submitted May 2005 to the Sir John Cass Department of Art, Media and Design, London Metropolitan University, entitled “The Frames of the Vernon Collection: An Investigation and Discussion of their History, Style and Condition”.Two volumes; the second volume contains the Addendum to the original thesis. Includes, in addition, a CD-ROM with a copy of the dissertation, addendum and data spreadsheet. Houghton was a student at Epsom College, 1955-1960; student at St John’s College, 1960-1963, where he studied the Natural Sciences Tripos. Between 1960 and1972, Houghton was a medical officer for the Territorial and Army Volunteer Reserve (TAVR); Brigadier for the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC), 1972-2002.
